We have been living in North Hollywood for over a month now while making our new album. Today we woke up, went to the studio, started tracking - however, Neil decided to stay back for a few hours to do laundry. Bill and I went to get our daily smoothies and came back to the studio to hang out. Moments after Neil calls and tells us about the forest fire... right by our apartment! I tell him I am going to drive back and pick him up so he can be safe. However, while driving back I see the biggest fire and cloud of smoke I have ever seen (looked like something straight out of a movie). As I get off the highway at our exit for the apartment, I noticed a police barricade preventing me from driving down to our apartment. This is when I started to take some videos on our Buzznet phone to capture what was happening (http://silverstein.buzznet.com/user/video). All day we have been wondering if our apartment was going to burn to the ground or not, and what was going to happen to Neil. Luckily he is safe and sound, they are containing the fire, and we are still just waiting around. However, guitars continue to be tracked and the album continues to come together! Fires aren' t stopping Silverstein.

Possible new track titles for the album
- Hollywood is Burnin'
- Oakwood's a Blaze!
- The Laundry Could Have Waited Until Tomorrow
- Our apartment is on fire because you touch yourself at night
etc.
